Terry Ramsey founded the Ramsey Auction Company in August 2003 after graduating from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering. Terry has degrees from Cobleskill Ag & Tech, Illinois State University and Cornell University. He is a retired teacher of agriculture where he taught students about the auction method of marketing through classroom discussion and field trips to local auctions.
Terry serves as Auctioneer and Appraiser for the Ramsey Auction Company. He is certified to appraise livestock through the International Society of Livestock Appraisers and farm machinery and equipment through the American Society of Farm Equipment Appraisers. Terry has completed the Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) course from the National Auctioneers Association in the areas of Farm Machinery and Heavy Construction Equipment. He is also a licensed Real Estate Salesperson. His belief in professionalism is proven through memberships in the New York State Auctioneer's Association (NYSAA), American Society of Agricultural Appraisals (ASAA) and the Retired Agriculture Educators of New York (RAENY). Terry is also serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the NYSAA. Through these organizations he continually attends professional improvement and educational seminars and workshops.
